Many times, It seems easier to figure it out on our own. We’ll spend countless years searching, hoping that the answer would some how magically reveal itself in black and white. Reading countless self-help books, blogs, articles, and anything else we can get our hands on, in the search for the purpose for our existence.
The truth is, we didn’t create ourselves, so how can we know what our sole purpose for being on Earth is. God created each and every single one of us for ONE divine purpose. A purpose only you can fulfill. Since God created you, he is the only one with the answers. The only way you can find your purpose is by going to the Creator and asking him! Makes sense right?
Our God given purpose is far more honorable than living our lives selfishly. It’s even more than money, status, and earthly possessions. Over the last five years I’ve learned that when you live in this world and not in the word, it will conform you. You’ll even start to find pleasure in things that don’t even have substance. Yes, you’d be alive, but you wouldn’t be living out your full potential. What good is living at that point?
It’s not enough that we simply just exist in this crazy world, we must live on purpose! You must seek God’s guidance and will for your life daily. I will admit it’s easier said than done, but it can be done. All it takes is determination and consistency. I encourage you to challenge yourself today, ask God for your purpose and just sit and listen. Take notes if you must, but listen to what he speaks to your heart. Then over the next few weeks, pay close attention to what He is revealing to you through your surroundings. Until next time, please remember that you are unique and chosen for your sole purpose!
